Drinks at The Male Room
At The Male Room this fortnight we have a Drinks theme, so you can make anything drink related, as long as it's masculine.
I have chosen to make a very quick and easy decoupage card with some toppers I was given. I have just cut the foreground out and then put it on foam pads over the base layer, this means it's still thin enough for standard UK postage.
The small mat layer is dark red textured paper which I thought went well with the red wine theme in the picture. Mounted on a cream card, white looked too bright and not in keeping with the vintage look.
There is no greeting on the card as yet, that will be added when I decide what I will use it for.
If you haven't already looked at the DT inspiration then please pop over and take a look, come and join us at The Male Room, this challenge runs for two weeks.

Cruising The Male Room
A new challenge at The Male Room start today, this time we are looking for anything masculine with a number theme.
I chose to use up some of my stash and found this set from Hunkdory. I don't often use this type of card kit but how could I pass by such a great car card.
On a cream card blank I have stuck the main background sheet and then used some of the decoupage elements to build it up slightly. Here in the UK we are now governed by different postal rates for depth and size so keeping it basic means cheaper postage.
The edges needed a little sanding to get those little tag bits off before assembly and the layers are built up with Stix2 foam pads. The design already had some gold highlights so nothing else needs to be added. I though this was a perfect card for 2017, now to send it to someone with a special occasion.
Our Male Room challenge runs for two weeks so please come and join us with your masculine creations, we would love to see them.
I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:
Cardz 4 Guyz - Something Beginning With C (Chevrolet Car)
Sunny Day Crafting - Anything Goes
Incy Wincy Designs - For The Men In Your Life (Top 5)

Male Room Hot Rod
The new challenge at The Male Room is transport, I had several ideas but this is the one that made it through the MOT.
The decoupage came from a CD Rom but I can't remember the name or make of it, I had printed off several copies and kept them in a folder, which was lucky as since then I have had to renew my computer and much of what I had has been lost, if you know what the disc was called then please let me know.
The backing paper came with the images so it really was an easy card to make and with a nephew just turned seventeen this will be used quite soon I hope.
With a general theme like transport I'm sure you will be able to come up with something to show us at The Male Room, we also have a DT call running so if you would like to join us then please pop over and read the information on our blog.
I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:
Cards and More - Masculine
Creative Card Crew - Anything Goes
Crafting With Friends - Anything Goes

London Line to Snetterton Park
This lovely card was made by a very helpful friend to go on display at Snetterton Park. The decoupage is from Trimcraft's new 'London Line' range of papers, brads, ribbons, flowers, etc.
Snetterton Park has just opened a new hall that's full of gifts, books, arts and crafts. For those of you that don't already know the amazing toy and model shop - it is huge. There are now six large halls full of wonderful things to suit the whole family. There is a large cafe with indoor and outdoor play areas, lots of free parking and it's open seven days a week.
The art & craft department has a growing selection of stock ranging from childrens crafting to items for the more serious artist or crafter. There will be regular workshops and demonstrations, some of which will be presented by well known crafting celebrities, so keep an eye out for news about upcoming events.
There will be an events page on the Snetterton Park website in the near future and I shall be listing them on here too.
It's been a busy few days but now the cat's out of the bag it's time to knuckle down and get crafting - as if I needed any encouragement!!
