Paper Funday At The Beach

 

      The new challenge this month at The Paper Funday is anything goes, with an optional twist of A Day At The Beach. I love the beach so I chose to follow the twist with this card.
     I started with a white card blank and taped it to my craft mat with masking tape, so I could keep a white border all the way around the card. Then I stamped the lighthouse image with blue ink and the sentiment block aswell, with the ink left on the stamp I stamped on masking sheet, cut out and covered the block area.
     With the masking sheet and tape in place I used a stencil to make the background. Using a little of the same ink as the stencilling I added some colour to the stamped image, but not very much.
     The masking sheet was removed from the block area and the sentiment was stamped in the same blue ink as the image. Once completely dry the masking tape was removed from the card edges, a simple, flat card was the result.
